Message From The Front
Let’s Slowwww This Down
Seriously. I know that sounds backasswards. I’ve been lucky enough to work with 2500+ recruits going into all branches of the military. Everything I’ve learned from those conversations / experiences is what I’m building The Warrior Collective on.
What I wish I knew before I enlisted
Talking to a recruiter is not the first step.
If you don’t know what you want, SOMEONE else will decide for you.
Hurry up and wait. The unwritten motto of all branches. I could spend hours solidifying this point.
Choosing a branch / job without a reason is like choosing a college without a major. Can be good. Can be bad.
I should of studied for the dang ASVAB. I winged it, got lucky, might of ended up narrowing some of my options years later.
The military will give you a path… but it might not be YOUR path.
Yeah, you can change jobs later… but it’s not quick, and it’s not easy. And it sure isn’t fun.
Slowing down and figuring your sh*t out in the beginning actually gets you further, faster, and happier.
I never knew the impact, the brothers and sisters I would gain, would make on me. This is what keeps you in for decades.
This decision will shape your life in ways you can’t see yet. Some good, some hard. And once you’re in… it becomes part of who you are.
Every time I ask someone “What do you want out of this?” There’s usually a pause. Not because they don’t care…. Because no one ever asked them that before. And that’s the fricken problem.
So if you’re thinking about the military…Don’t do anything just yet.
Welcome to the collective.
Lets get after it. 🇺🇸👊

Intelligence Report (INTREP)
Before You Talk to a Recruiter: Start Here
I do believe most people don't make a bad decision when they join the military. They just don’t know what the right ones are at that time.
They talk to a recruiter before they've spent ten minutes thinking about what they actually want. They pick a branch because it sounds cool, or because someone they know did it. They lock in a job without understanding where that job leads.
And by the time somethings not right… they're already locked in.
That's not a failure of character. That's what happens when you don’t know, what you don’t know.
It happens constantly. And its has been happening for decades.

What We’re Building (And Why It Matters)
The Warrior Collective exists because this process shouldn't be confusing.
It shouldn't feel like you're piecing things together from TikTok, Reddit, YouTube and whatever your recruiter happens to tell you. It shouldn't feel like you're doing it alone.
We're building what didn't exist when I started, not another course, not a feed full of crappy opinions… a single place (not run by the Dept of Defense) where you can actually figure this out before you sign anything.
That means a clear path from thinking about it to shipping out. Tools to help you choose the right branch and the right job. Guidance on the ASVAB, MEPS, and everything in between. And people going through the same thing, at the same time, in the same place.
If you've ever thought, "I just wish someone would lay this out for me" — that's the whole point.
We’re just getting started… but we’re building an app and a community for just for you.
