Message From The Front
What if meeting with a recruiter isn’t step one?
I get it. It sounds logical. It sounds like the right first move. Go see a recruiter and get your questions answered.
It's not.
Walking into a recruiter's office before you've done the work is like showing up to a car dealership with no idea what you need, no budget, and no plan.
Someone is going to make decisions for you. And they're not making them with your best interests as the priority.
That's not me knocking recruiters. That's just the reality of how the system works.
The problem isn't the recruiter. The problem is that nobody told you there were steps to take before that meeting. Nobody told you that clarity is your responsibility — and that if you don't find it first, the process will find it for you.
That's exactly why The Warrior Collective exists.
You deserve to walk into that office already knowing who you are, what you want, and why you're doing this.
That's what we're building toward.
Welcome to the collective.
Let's get after it. 🇺🇸👊

Question of the Week
I’m thinking about joining the military, but I can’t stand our president.
This may get some of you fired up - in different ways. And thats good.
Three things worth hearing.
One — your service will likely outlast the administration. I served under four presidents in 21 years. The presidency changed. My commitment didn't.
Two — almost nobody who's served says they did it for the president. They did it for the person next to them. They did it for their family. That's the part that stays with you.
Three — your reasons for wanting to serve are yours. Don't let the political climate steal something that could change your life.
Smart starts here.

Be honest. Is politics influencing your decision to serve?
Mission Planning Brief
Time to meet Bob
Mission Overview
Bob is built to help you understand where you stand before talking to a recruiter (or during). Think chatgpt / claude but with specific to helping those going through the medical process.
He focuses on medical eligibility, potential issues, and what MEPS may look for.
Bob is in beta testing. If there is a term for before beta testing, that’s really where he’s at.
Right now, he’s about 50% smart and 70% dumb.
Situation / Intelligence
Most people rely on Google, Reddit, or secondhand advice for their medical questions.
A lot of it is wrong, incomplete, or just fricken mean.
Medical rules depend on details, waivers vary, and GENESIS / MEPS pulls real records.
Execution Plan
Ask Bob real questions:
Will this disqualify me?
Will I need a waiver?
What happens at MEPS?
He’ll highlight possible issues and give you a starting point.
Then verify anything important with a recruiter.
Logistics / Support
All you need is your situation, an internet connection, and a few honest questions.
Command & Control (C2)
Bob is a tool, not an authority.
You’re still in control.
Always confirm important info through official channels.
Risk Management
Risk: assuming Bob is 100% accurate.
Use him for awareness, not final decisions.
Double-check anything serious.
Questions / Final Brief
Bob is early. Not perfect. That’s the point.
Test him. Break him. Tell me what needs to be better.
Build Your Team
Know someone who is thinking about the military?
If you’re getting value from this and want to support the mission and my addiction…. I won’t fight you.
